Fire
The working landscape is changing. Everyone is under increasing pressure to comply with a growing number of regulations and to maintain service while under greater scrutiny than ever before. Fire safety is at the heart of many of today's critical business systems - from health and safety to business continuity and at every stage there are stringent requirements to meet to ensure safety for all.
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) reported that in 2005, insurers paid out £790 million in commercial fire claims, up 60% on 2004, with business interruption claims at an additional £220 million - the highest total since 1987 and fire damage costs business over £2 million every day.
It is essential therefore that everyone in the supply chain - from specifier to contractor and end user understands the value of specifying reliable and safe products, services and systems from the outset.
